In a special weather bulletin, the DMN said that heavy thundershowers of orange level (40 to 70mm) are expected from Friday at 1 p.m. to Saturday at 9 a.m. in the provinces of Agadir-Ida-Outanane, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Essaouira, Fahs-Anjra, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Larache, M'diq-Fnideq, Ouezzane, Tangier-Assilah, Taroudant and Tetouan. During the same period, rainfall accumulations of 20 to 40mm are expected in the provinces of Azilal, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, Chichaoua, El Jadida, Fez, Kenitra, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Rabat, Safi, Salé, Sidi Bennour, Skhirate-Temara, Taounate and Taza. Rainfall accumulations of up to 70 mm, locally accompanied by hail, will interest, from Saturday at 4 p.m. to Sunday at 11 p.m., the provinces of Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Chtouka-Ait Baha, El Jadida, Essaouira, Kenitra, Larache, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Ouezzane, Rabat, Safi, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, Tangier-Assilah and Tiznit, according to the same source. Strong wind gusts of orange level (70 to 100km/h) are expected Friday, between 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., in the provinces of Agadir-Ida-Outanane, Al Haouz, Assa-Zag, Azilal, Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Chichaoua, Chtouka-Ait Baha, El Jadida, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fahs-Anjra, Figuig, Guelmim, Ifrane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Jerada, Larache, M'diq-Fnideq, Marrakech, Médiouna, Midelt, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Ouarzazate, Rabat, Rehamna, Safi, Salé, Settat, Sidi Bennour, Sidi Ifni, Skhirate-Temara, Tan-Tan, Taroudante, Tétouan, Tinghir, Tiznit and Youssoufia. Snowfalls of orange level (20 to 30 cm in 24 hours) will be seen from Saturday to Monday in areas above 1,200 m in the provinces of Al Haouz, Al Hoceima, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Chefchaouen, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Khenifra, Midelt, Ouarzazate, and Taroudant.
