The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), under the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), dismantled, Tuesday, a terrorist cell composed of six members imbued with extremist thinking, aged 18 to 59, operating in Casablanca, Mohammedia and Azilal, said a statement from the Interior Ministry. Investigations reveal that the members of this cell, which is affiliated with the terrorist organization called the «Islamic State», planned to commit terrorist acts in the Kingdom, the same source added. The suspects were remanded in police custody for further investigations under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office while efforts are continuing to arrest other accomplices suspected of involvement in this terrorist cell, the statement said.
