Almost five months after their arrest, the Polisario Front released, Sunday, the three Sahrawi activists Moulay Abba Bouzeid, Fadel NBreika and Mahmoud Zeidan. The three men «have been able to meet their families and loved ones», Messoud Ramadan, the president of the Sahrawi Human Rights Association, said. By releasing the three activists, held since June, the Polisario leadership is trying to make peace with angry voices within the Tindouf camps that condemned the arrest of the three men. This decision comes as the Front is expected to hold a congress in December. For the record, the trial of Moulay Abba Bouzeid, Fadel Breika and Mahmoud Zeidan was scheduled for Sunday, November 10. The pressure of Sahrawi and foreign NGOs, as well as the intervention of the Spanish diplomacy, have influenced the decision of the Polisario.
