Jordan's minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Aymane Safadi, reiterated, Thursday in Casablanca, his country's «total and absolute» support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco. Speaking at a joint press briefing with minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, at the end of the one-to-one talks of King Mohammed VI and King Abdullah II, Safadi said that «Jordan has a consistent stance on the Moroccan Sahara issue», noting that his country «fully and absolutely supports the territorial integrity of the sister Kingdom of Morocco». In this regard, the Jordanian minister underlined that the Hashemite Kingdom calls for a political solution to the question of the Moroccan Sahara, in accordance with international law, notably UN Security Council Resolution 1813, and within the framework of the Moroccan autonomy initiative, which is likely to guarantee the sovereignty of Morocco over all its territories.
