The Italian authorities announced on Friday, 30th of March, the arrest of a citizen of Moroccan descent in the Piedmont region (north), reports Rai News. He is accused of «terrorism and of belonging to a terrorist organization». Identified as Ilyass Hadouz, the 19-year-old man lives in the municipality of Fossano in the Cuneo province. He was allegedly radicalized in February. On social media the young man shared messages legitimizing the «jihad» and glorifying «martyrs», saying he was ready to «imitate them», said Girnale di Sicilia. Meanwhile, Italian Interior Minister Marco Minniti said the day before that «terrorist threat has never been this frequent,» adding that in 2017, «132 radicalized people were expelled from the country and 29 others in 2018».
