Moroccan travelers will soon have a new option for crossing the Mediterranean under optimal conditions. The shipping company La Méridionale, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM group since 2023, is preparing to launch Le Massalia, a modern vessel that will enhance the route between Marseille and Tanger Med starting in June of this year. This ferry, whose name was chosen through a collaborative process involving the company's employees, embodies La Méridionale's Mediterranean roots and its commitment to its passengers. With its 219 cabins, dining areas, cinema, and children's play zones, Le Massalia promises increased comfort for travelers connecting France and Morocco. Since its launch in 2020, the Marseille-Tanger Med maritime route has established itself as a practical alternative for Moroccans wishing to travel to France with their vehicles or goods. With this new ship, La Méridionale boosts its capacity and enhances the travel experience, thus meeting growing demand, especially during the summer season.
