The Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad has announced the deployment of a 272-member mission from February 27 to April 1, 2025, to provide religious support to Moroccan expatriates during Ramadan. This delegation includes 38 university professors, 39 preachers with doctorates, 44 with master's degrees, 60 with bachelor's degrees, 60 preachers who will deliver sermons and lead Quran memorization sessions, and 31 imams designated for Taraweeh prayers. Their role is to support the Moroccan community through various religious activities throughout the holy month, the Foundation stated in a press release. According to the same source, the delegation will be assigned based on the needs of Moroccans abroad: 75 members will be sent to France, 40 to Germany, 33 to the Netherlands, 38 to Spain, 27 to Italy, 33 to Belgium, 10 to Canada, 6 to the United States, 4 to Sweden, 2 to England, 1 to Hungary, 2 to Norway, and 1 to Iceland. Since 1992, the Hassan II Foundation has been committed to expanding its religious activities by supporting Moroccan associations and mosques abroad in organizing seminars and Quran memorization and recitation competitions. It also awards prizes to meet the growing religious needs of the Moroccan diaspora. The Foundation aims to ensure high-quality religious guidance during Ramadan by selecting the most qualified individuals for the mission, adapting to evolving demands, and maintaining a strong presence on the ground. In a related event, the Foundation will host a meeting in Rabat on Tuesday, February 25, to present its «Ramadan 2025» program. According to the statement, 50 members of the delegation will attend this event, which will outline the key aspects of the initiative.
