The Moroccan security authorities deported two Spanish citizens after their arrival in Laayoune. These individuals were journalist Asier Aldea and YouTuber Rama Jutglar, who were forced to board a plane from Casablanca to Madrid, according to Iberian media. The two flew from Madrid to Dakhla on a Ryanair flight on Saturday. They then tried to take a bus to Laayoune, but were stopped from getting off the bus when they arrived. In an interview with Iberian media, Asier Aldea said: «We arrived in Casablanca after the Moroccan police prevented us from entering Laayoune on Sunday, and we had to spend Monday in Agadir. Then we took a plane that stopped in Casablanca. An hour before we boarded the plane, they took our passports». This step comes about two weeks after the Moroccan authorities' decision to prevent MPs from the Basque parliament from entering Laayoune. The same measure targeted, a few days earlier, three Spanish citizens, including a journalist, who arrived in Dakhla. MPs from Spain's SUMAR Coalition had submitted a written question asking Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to request «clarifications» from Morocco regarding these decisions.
