The feature film Everybody Loves Touda, directed by Nabil Ayouch, has been chosen to represent Morocco at the 2025 Oscars in the Best International Film category, announced the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM). Everybody Loves Touda was selected by a committee chaired by CCM representative Tariq Khalami, and included producer Souad Lamriki, producer and director Layla Triqui, producer and director Asmae El Moudir, producer and director Driss Mrini, producer, director, and actor Driss Roukhe, and international festival director Zine El Abidine Charafeddine, according to a CCM release. In addition to Nabil Ayouch's feature film, six other films were submitted to the committee: L'oasis des eaux gelées by Raouf Sebbahi, Sahari, Salem Wsaa by Moulay Taieb Bouhanana, Mon père n'est pas mort by Adil Fadili, Fez Summer 55 by Abdelhai Laraki, Les Meutes by Kamal Lazraq, and Déserts by Faouzi Bensaidi, the CCM concluded.
