A heat wave is expected this weekend (from Saturday to Monday) in several provinces of Morocco, with highs reaching 41°C and lows of 32°C, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). The DGM issued an orange vigilance level alert bulletin, specifying that temperatures ranging from 36°C to 41°C are expected in the provinces of Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Tiznit, Taroudant, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Tan-Tan, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Laayoune, Es-Semara, Tarfaya, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab. Temperatures are expected to reach between 34°C and 38°C on Saturday and Sunday in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Settat, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Marrakech, Essaouira, El Kelaa Sraghna, Chichaoua, Azilal, Al-Haouz, Rehamna, Safi and Youssoufia. Temperatures are also forecast to reach between 32°C and 35°C on Sunday in the provinces of Berrechid, Benslimane, Nouaceur, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Khemisset and Skhirate-Temara.
