Policemen seized Thursday 1.78 ton of cannabis resin and arrested two people for their alleged links to a drug-trafficking criminal network. The suspects, both aged 25, were arrested on board a car at the rural commune of Ain Meski, 17 km to the city of Erfoud, National Police said in a statement. Policemen discovered 1.78 ton of cannabis resin and 48 kg of Kif inside the car, in addition to bladed weapons and three fake license plates, the source added. The suspects were placed on custody while investigations are underway to identify all the people involved in this criminal network. This operation is part of efforts exerted by security services to fight against drug trafficking networks.
