The General Delegation of Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) said on Saturday that it has always acted in accordance with the law with regard to dealing with the health condition of Hirak figure Nasser Zefzafi. The DGAPR reacted to a video published on Facebook by the father of the detainee, in which «he accuses the administration of the local prison of Ain Sebaâ 1 and the Delegation of several lies and untruthful allegations». Since the beginning of his detention, medical care has been provided to Zefzafi and the first medical exams underwent by him have shown that his health condition was normal, the DGAPR pointed out in a statement. The detainee has received so far 42 medical exams at the service placed under the authority of the Delegation and 11 others at the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Ibn Rochd, in addition to 25 biological analyzes and 11 X-rays, the source added. The prison administration did not refuse to give a certificate or a medical report to the detainee, but refused to give a copy of the medical report to his relatives, since the law forbids it, the source added. Regarding the allegations spread by the detainee's father that his son was locked in a «disciplinary cell + dungeon + for 15 months», these are unfounded accusations since the detainee is, since his imprisonment, kept in an individual cell in accordance with the law with regard to inmates held in preventive detention, while giving him access to all of his rights ensured by the law as all the prisoners held in individual and collective cells, it said.
