Spain is planning to bid for the 2030 World Cup, Spanish radio station Cadena Ser said on Wednesday. The decision was taken during a meeting held by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the President of the Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales and FIFA president Gianni Infantino. According to Spanish media, the country is considering two options for its 2030 World Cup bid : A single bid with Spain as the only nation to host the tournament and a joint one with the participation of Morocco and Portugal. For the record, Morocco had officially bid for the hosting of the 2030 World Cup, despite losing to the North American one in June.
