The African Development Bank (AfDB) will grant Morocco a two-billion dollars aid over the next two years, announced on Friday in Rabat, Bank Vice President in charge of Regional Development, Regional Integration and Services Khaled Sherif, who is on a working visit to Morocco. «We informed the Head of Government that the AfDB will provide two billion dollars in aids to Morocco over the next two years,» Sherif said in a statement to the press after his talks with head of government Saad Eddine El Othmani. In this regard, he said that the African financial institution will continue supporting the Kingdom within the framework of the priorities set by the Moroccan government, praising the economic performance of Morocco. Sherif also lauded the competence of various Moroccan sectors and public institutions that contribute «effectively» to the success of the partnership programs, making the Moroccan model an example to be adopted by the AfDB at the regional and continental levels. The talks between El Othmani and Sherif were an opportunity to discuss synergies and cooperation between Morocco and the bank.
