Moroccan Interior Minister, Abdelouafi Laftit held talks with his French counterpart Gérard Collomb on Monday in Seville, focusing on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest. Morocco and France want to boost their relations especially in the fight against terrorism «to ensure that those who want to destroy our civilization are rendered harmless», declared Gérard Collomb. «This is the path we have chosen to follow and we will cooperate together more strongly in the future», he added. In addition to Laftit and Collomb, the G6 meeting, in which Morocco took part as a guest country, was attended by the Spanish and Polish Interior ministers, Juan Ignacio Zoido and Mariusz Blaszczak, as well as the British Minister of State, Susan Williams de Trafford and the German Interior Secretary, Emily Haber. Dimitris Avramopoulos, European Commissioner for Migration, Internal Affairs and Citizenship, Julian King, European Security Commissioner and Stefano Sannino, Italian Ambassador to Spain, were also present at the meeting.
