After protesting against inviting the former Israeli Defense Minister to the Moroccan parliament, a number of PJD MPs are taking part in the 137th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union which is held from the 14th to the 18th of October in St. Petersburg, Russia. A communiqué issued by the presidency of the Upper House revealed that two members of the PJD are traveling to Russia, namely: MP Abdelaziz El Omari (former Minister of Relations with the Parliament during the Benkirane second term and second and current mayor of Casablanca) and Nabil Chikhi to attend the meeting. MPs Rahou El Hilaê from the PAM, Noureddine Lazraq (RNI) and Ahmed Ettouni and Mohamed Ben Salem Ben Mesaoud (Istiqlal) and Rachid Abdi (USFP) are all part of the of the Moroccan delegation chaired by Hakim Benchamach, President of the Chamber of Advisers. It is clear that Nabil Chikhi is a regular at the sessions of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. On 6 and 7 of July in Geneva, he attended a meeting of the Committee on Middle East Questions on water. An Israeli delegation led by Mrs. Ksenia Svetlova, a member of the Knesset, was present. The PJD was also represented by MP Moh Rejdali, as shown in an IPU document.
