The embassy and consulate of Morocco in London organized on Tuesday an Iftar of solidarity to support the survivors and family members of the victims that were killed and injured in the Grenfell tower fire. Organized with the help of volunteers, associative actors and Moroccan traders, this Iftar was an opportunity for all the members of the Moroccan community to get together and back the Moroccan families bereaved by this terrible fire. Ambassador Abdesselam Aboudrar, who was accompanied by Consul General Abderrahim Beyyoudh, offered his condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy, while expressing his solidarity and sympathy with all the people affected by the incident. Other speakers welcomed this initiative, the unity and solidarity displayed by the Muslim community in this painful circumstances and the assistance provided to those affected by the disaster. King Mohammed VI had given his very high instructions to the competent Moroccan authorities to pay for the repatriation of the remains of «six officially identified Moroccans» and to provide all necessary assistance and support to the families of the victims.
