The Moroccan diva, Latifa Raafat, is not willing to retire anytime soon, The National reports. The 52-year-old singer denied rumors of her retirement stating that : «I don't know where that came from, to be honest. I am still enjoying my work and it keeps me going.» Latifa has been around for three decades now, she participated in the creation of several successful songs such as «Maghyara», «Dunia», and «Ya Hli Ya 'Ashrani». «As long as I hit the stage and there is an audience who want to hear what I do, well that's everything really for a performer», Latifa said regarding her career on Friday during a Mawazine 2017 press conference. «When I started there was, of course, no social media so it was all done through word of mouth. Now with twitter and Facebook and all these shows on television there is always a Moroccan artist doing well and I suspect that from now on this will always be the case», she stated addressing young singers and artists. Latifa Raafat performed on Friday the 12th of May on Sale's stage among a number of other local and international artists in 16th edition of Mawazine.
