The complainant in the Bennis-Alj-Slaoui case, Sixtine Félix, withdrew her rape complaint on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Casablanca prosecutor's office. Primarily accusing Kamil Bennis, the alleged victim appeared before an investigating judge at the city's Court of Appeal to declare her withdrawal. Citing a close source, Le360 reports that she claimed to have been «unconscious» at the time of the events and that «what she had recounted did not correspond to reality». The young woman was accompanied by her lawyer Khadija Rougani, in the presence of Kamil Bennis, who was also accompanied by his lawyer. Quoted by Le360, the civil party's defense confirmed the complainant's decision, without commenting on it. The information comes as the criminal chamber's prosecutor at the Casablanca Court of Appeal has concluded detailed interrogations and a confrontation between the accused and witnesses. Earlier this year, the prosecutor examined the content of a phone recording, confirming a conversation between the main suspect and a friend of the complainant. The interlocutor reportedly stated that she had accompanied the alleged victim and a Moroccan acquaintance to a «fortune teller» in Marrakech, who allegedly revealed that the complainant had been drugged and raped while unconscious. The young woman subsequently filed complaints in both France and Morocco, suspecting she had been intoxicated. Previously, the complainant insisted to Le360 that she would pursue the case «to the end» to obtain «a proportionate conviction» and «to be recognized as a victim», especially as she claimed to have «a file composed of solid scientific evidence». Her fiancé, Mohamed Amine Naguib, has been in detention since last January for «breach of investigation secrecy and defamation» following the leak of a voice note in which he allegedly detailed his exchange with the investigating judge. He also mentioned the withdrawal of his complaint for assault on December 5. The events date back to a party held on November 2, 2024, at the home of Kamil Bennis, from a family that made its fortune in the pharmaceutical sector. Three other individuals, M'hamed Alj, son of the president of the Moroccan employers' association, Saad Slaoui, a London-based entrepreneur, and Ahmed Daghbour, a municipal advisor, were implicated. On December 24, twelve witnesses heard by the court reportedly refuted the rape allegations. For her part, the complainant maintained her version, while Kamil Bennis claimed it was a consensual encounter.
