Rescue teams in Tangier recovered on Monday, February 17, the body of a young man who had been swept away by the waters at Zahani Beach after participating in a TikTok challenge. The search for the TikToker lasted several days, with teams using jet skis and drones to locate the victim's lifeless body. According to field sources quoted by local online newspaper Tanja24, the body was found near the site of his drowning. It had been swept away by the currents to a rocky area of the beach. It was immediately transferred to the mortuary at the regional hospital for the necessary forensic examination. It is worth noting that the victim had taken part in a dangerous challenge with his friends, setting his clothes on fire before jumping into the sea, intending to document the scene in a shocking video for his TikTok. However, strong currents prevented him from getting out, despite his distress and attempts to save himself. The authorities have interrogated his friends, who were with him at the time of the incident, to gather more details about the case.
