The Moroccan Instance for Support to the Causes of the Ummah has urged for the repatriation of Abdelaziz Kaddi's body, the Moroccan responsible for a knife attack in Tel Aviv on January 21, which resulted in four injuries. The organization emphasized that bringing his body back would allow for «a dignified funeral» to be conducted «on his native land and among his family». Kaddi was born on June 8, 1995, in the Zagora region and had been residing in the United States since 2022. In the wake of the attack, the Israeli Ministry of the Interior disclosed that Kaddi had been subjected to an additional security screening upon his arrival at Ben-Gurion airport, just days before the incident. Despite raising suspicions among border officials, Kaddi was interrogated by the Shin Bet and subsequently permitted entry into the country. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, praised Kaddi's actions, asserting that they demonstrate «the tide of resistance will continue as long as the occupation and its crimes persist». The group described the attack as «a natural response a few hours after dozens of martyrs and wounded were killed during the occupation's aggression in Jenin». Beyond the request for repatriation, the Moroccan organization reiterated its plea for unity to cease all forms of cooperation between Morocco and Israel. It also called for «the release of prisoners of conscience opposed to normalization», highlighting the case of activist Ismail Ghazaoui, who was sentenced to one year in prison in a first-instance judgment.
