Algerian authorities have released a group of young Moroccans attempting to migrate through the Maghnia-Oujda land route, according to the Moroccan Association for the Assistance of Migrants in Difficult Situations. In a statement by the association, the group consists of approximately 34 young men who had served their sentences and were «part of the file of missing persons, prisoners, and detainees who were candidates for immigration. This includes migrants on various immigration routes, whether in Tunisia, Libya, or neighboring Algeria, which encompasses more than 450 cases». The handover took place at the Zouj Beghal border crossing in Oujda, and these released young men come from the cities of Fez, Oujda, Taza, Taounate, Zaio, Touli Jerada, Taourirt, Rabat, El Kalaa, Midelt, Beni Mellal, Tetouan, and Guercif.
