Swiss airline Edelweiss is set to broaden its flight offerings in the spring of 2025, introducing new direct routes to various destinations, including Morocco. Starting in April, the budget airline will provide flights connecting Zurich to the Moroccan cities of Marrakech and Agadir, with services operating every Wednesday. The announcement, made on Monday, details a shift from the current triangular routes. Edelweiss aims to «shorten journey times and enhance passenger comfort», as stated in a press release. In addition to the Moroccan destinations, the seasonal schedule will feature flights to Catania in Sicily, Lamezia in Calabria, Italy, as well as Kos and Rhodes in Greece. To accommodate increased demand on certain short-haul flights, the airline plans to deploy its Airbus A340, thereby boosting capacity.
