Since Monday, a photo circulating online has sparked outrage among Internet users, showing piles of garbage and food scraps outside a KFC restaurant in Aïn Diab, Casablanca. The image has prompted public concern about the coastline being turned into a dumping ground, with many calling on authorities to intervene and hold those responsible accountable. In a statement to Yabiladi, a source clarified that the garbage was not discarded by the fast-food restaurant's employees. Instead, it was left by homeless individuals searching for food in the trash bins located in front of the restaurant. The source further assured that the restaurant staff had been actively engaged in cleaning the area. They emphasized that «disposing of garbage in front of the restaurant themselves would be illogical and detrimental to the brand's image», noting that this incident is just one of many similar occurrences throughout the city.
