The Korean Association of Travel Agents (KATA) is holding its annual congress in Marrakech from December 14-19, 2024, marking the first time the organization has hosted this major event in Morocco. According to the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), the congress brings together more than 60 participants, including KATA's top management, leading South Korean tour operators, tourism industry figures, and specialized economic press journalists. The congress serves as a platform for KATA members to discuss sales performance, analyze current tourism trends in South Korea, and develop strategies to increase tourist flow between Morocco and South Korea. Industry specialists are examining both domestic South Korean tourism and global market developments. The initiative aims to tap into the significant potential of the South Korean outbound tourism market, which generates over $32.12 billion annually with more than 23 million international departures. The ONMT's «Marrakech Forever» brand is positioning itself to capture a share of this dynamic market. This gathering aligns with ONMT's «Light in Action» strategy, which seeks to establish Morocco as a leading global tourist destination.
