The CITIC Dicastal group, world leader in aluminium casting and aluminium automotive parts production, opened its first factory in Morocco on Wednesday in Kenitra for a total investment of 350 million euros. The inauguration of this CITIC Dicastal plant in Morocco is part of the framework and investment agreements recently signed by the Kingdom and China, for the establishment of an aluminium wheel production unit at the Atlantic Free Zone -Kenitra, with an annual production capacity of 6 million units. The first factory in Morocco, known as «DICASTAL MOROCCO AFRICA», is an example of Moroccan-Chinese fruitful cooperation in the industrial sector and is part of the implementation of the Chinese government's «One Road, One Belt» initiative and the industrial acceleration plan initiated by Morocco to boost its national industry. The inauguration of this plant was attended by minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Alami, and general vice-president of the CITIC DICASTAL group, Wang Jiong. «With this high value-added investment, DICASTAL is introducing a pioneering specialty, proven expertise and know-how with a high technological content into Morocco, thanks to a competitive and efficient automotive industry», said Elalamy. He also stressed the trust placed by the group's decision-makers in the Moroccan workforce, since all employees and managers are Moroccans, hailing this «commendable initiative of the Chinese group».
