The UN personal envoy for Western Sahara Horst Köhler has, reportedly, invited the Polisario to a meeting in Berlin, reports the Front's press agency SPS. According to the same source, Köhler and the Front will hold a meeting in the capital of Germany in the first week of March. This meeting will proceed the second round of the round-table convened by the UN envoy. «The meeting, scheduled for the first week of March, is part of the bilateral consultations that the former German president intends to hold with the Polisario Front and Morocco, in addition to neighboring countries to prepare the second round-table», wrote the Front on Monday, quoting sources close to the case. Scheduled for mid-February, the UN Personal Envoy for Western Sahara's long-awaited tour in the region has not taken place yet. This comes as the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is expected to present his report on the Western Sahara dispute in March or April before the members of the Security Council. For the record, in December 2018, Köhler chaired a round-table that brought Morocco, the Polisario, Algeria and Mauritania together in Geneva.
