The International Organization of Migrants (IOM) has recorded an increase in the number of migrants coming from Morocco and Bangladesh towards Italy. 30 000 migrants and refugees were registered this year by the same organization, 7000 of these were Moroccan and Bangladeshi nationals. 7 times more than last years' numbers, EFE reports. 2423 Moroccan migrants arrived to Italy in 2017 in contrast to 893 that were registered in April 2016 by the UN agency. More than 4600 Bangladeshi have crossed the Mediterranean sea «during the first 120 days of 2017» while there was only 3 in April 2016, Joel Millman, the IOM spokesperson declared in a press conference. Since then the number of Bangladeshi migrants in Italy kept growing until reaching 8100.
