The Moroccan women's futsal team has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Morocco 2025) after defeating Cameroon 7–1 on the second matchday of Group A. The game took place Thursday evening at the indoor hall of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. Morocco's goals came from Amal El Ouafi (4th minute), an own goal by Yvana Mbozomo (12th), Chirine Knaidil (15th), Meryem Hajri (28th), Doha El Madani (33rd), Siham Tadlaoui (40th), and Malak Al Kilani (40th). Cameroon's sole goal was scored by Brunelle Beulou in the 17th minute. With this second group-stage victory—following their 8–1 win over Namibia on the opening day last Tuesday—Morocco has secured the top spot in Group A. The final match of the group will see Cameroon face Namibia on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. The winners of each of the three groups will advance directly to the semi-finals, while the fourth spot will go to the best-ranked runner-up across all groups. The two finalists of this inaugural Women's Futsal CAN will qualify for the Women's Futsal World Cup, scheduled to take place in the Philippines from November 27 to December 7, 2025.
