In Casablanca, the tragic death of a young girl has sparked a significant police operation, resulting in the arrest of four individuals in the Ain Chock district. Among those detained are a shop owner, his assistant, and a café manager, all suspected of promoting narcotic substances, facilitating their consumption by minors, and grooming the victim. Authorities launched an investigation following the incident, which revealed that the 15-year-old victim had been in the company of another individual at the time of her death. She died after inhaling butane gas to get high. This led to the arrest of the accompanying person and the seizure of several incriminating items, including gas canisters, balloons, and smuggled «hookah tobacco» cans found with the shop owner. The café manager is also under suspicion for allegedly using the premises to host minors and facilitate their drug consumption. All suspects are currently in custody, with proceedings overseen by the public prosecution. Meanwhile, the victim's body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death. This incident highlights a worrying trend observed by security forces: an increase in the inhalation of butane gas for its anesthetic effects, which poses serious risks of poisoning and suffocation.
