Locally strong wind gusts and snowfall at elevations above 1,400 meters are anticipated in several Moroccan provinces, reports the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM). According to an orange alert bulletin issued by the DGM, wind gusts ranging from 70 to 80 km/h are expected on Monday between 12:00 and 21:00 in the provinces of Al Hoceïma, Tétouan, MDiq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, and Taza. On Tuesday, the same weather conditions, with wind speeds between 75 and 95 km/h, will affect the provinces of Al Hoceïma, Guercif, Taourirt, Berkane, Oujda-Angad, Driouch, Nador, Tétouan, MDiq-Fnideq, Chefchaouen, Jerada, Figuig, Taza, and Boulemane, from 06:00 to 19:00. Additionally, significant snowfall ranging from 25 to 50 cm is forecast for Thursday in the provinces of Ifrane, Khénifra, Sefrou, Midelt, Boulemane, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Taza, and Guercif, as per the same source. A lighter snowfall, measuring between 5 and 10 cm, is also expected to impact the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Taourirt, Al Hoceïma, and Chefchaouen, concludes the DGM.
