Paramount Pictures recently unveiled the much-anticipated trailer for Ridley Scott's Gladiator 2. The film, which is partially shot in Ouarzazate, Morocco, is set to hit theaters on November 15, 2024. The trailer for the movie showcases spectacular battles, including water arenas and gladiators fighting wild animals. The images are accompanied by the song «No Church in the Wild» by Jay-Z and Kanye West. Paul Mescal plays the main character Lucius, who, several years after Maximus' death, becomes a gladiator in the Roman Empire. Rounding out the cast are Pedro Pascal as General Acacius, Denzel Washington as Macrinus the arms dealer, and Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi, who reprise their roles from the first episode. The trailer for the movie quickly went viral and garnered more than 11 million views in less than 24 hours on Paramount Pictures' YouTube channel.
