The Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, headed by the socialist Diana Morant Ripoll, has published on its website amap of Morocco that includes the Sahara with the tracing of sand berm. A Polisario media outlet condemned yet another «falsification» of data drawn up by the United Nations, stressing that «the international community does not recognize Morocco's borders, including Western Sahara». The same source accuses the PSOE party of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez of helping to «legitimize the Moroccan occupation of the Sahara in Spain» by distributing this map of Morocco through public institutions. For the record, in a document issued by the Ministry of Culture, headed by Ernest Urtasun de Sumar, the official Spanish Bulletin had placed Laayoune in Morocco, arousing the anger of the Polisario and its Iberian supporters. Public companies such as Spanish Television and ENAIRE, which manages air navigation, initially published the complete map of Morocco, including the Sahara, but under pressure from the Front and its allies, they backed down.
