Announced in December 2023, the partnership agreements with Energean plc Group have been finalized. Energean now holds 45% and 37.5% respectively in the Lixus and Rissana offshore licenses, becoming the operator. Chariot retains a 30% and 37.5% interest in these licenses respectively, while ONHYM maintains its 25% stake in each. Chariot has received the initial payment of US$10 million from Energean. Additionally, a drilling contract has been signed with Stena Drilling for the use of its Stena Forth drilling unit for appraisal drilling and development of a well located to the east of the Anchois gas field, as well as an optional additional well on the Lixus license. This drilling and testing campaign will be undertaken in the third quarter of 2024. «It will further evaluate existing reservoirs and include flow testing targeting potential undrilled resources with a view to increasing development to over 30 billion cubic meters», reads a press release. Chariot CEO Adonis Pouroulis stated that «further updates will be provided as required». He expressed his gratitude to ONHYM, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance for their support.
