Chairman of Hamas's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, who currrently lives in Qatar, has sent a written message to the secretary general of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), Abdelilah Benkirane, the Islamist party's website reported on Tuesday, March 12. In his letter, the Palestinian calls on his «brother», referring to Benkirane, to «contribute to providing urgent aid» to the population of Gaza, «oppose normalization with» Israel and «put pressure to sever all relations with the Zionist entity, due to the war crimes and crimes against humanity it commits in Gaza». For the record, Benkirane and Haniyeh spoke over the phone on November 12, 2023. The head of the political bureau of the Hamas Movement had asked, on eve of Ramadan, in letters sent to presidents of Islamic states and political and religious figures, «to pressure» countries that support the «Zionist occupation to force an immediate and unconditional end» to the war.
