Sanchez highlighted the upcoming joint World Cup 2030 bid with Portugal as a «great opportunity to consolidate the friendship between the three peoples», further strengthening the economic partnership. He also commended Morocco's «great effort» towards economic modernization, praising the commitment of Spanish companies in sectors like transport, renewable energies, and water management. Sanchez further lauded the «positive development» in trade between the two nations, exceeding €22 billion in 2022. This marks Sanchez's fifth visit to Morocco since assuming office in 2018, underscoring the importance of bilateral relations and renewed cooperation.
