The Dominican Republic's Chamber of Deputies has approved an agreement with the Kingdom of Morocco on visa exemption. The resolution approving the agreement, signed on June 11, 2019 in Santo Domingo, waives tourist and business visas, writes Listin Diario. Nationals from the two countries can thus transit or stay for a renewable period of up to 60 days. The agreement received a favorable report from the Standing Committee on External Relations and International Cooperation of the Chamber of Deputies and will now pass to the Senate of the Republic for its vote. If approved by the Senate and promulgated by the executive branch, the agreement in question «shall enter into force 30 days from the date of the last notification», the same source added. The media also recalls that «the visa exemption does not apply to nationals of the two countries who wish to exercise paid or salaried activities, carry out technical assistance activities, of a missionary or religious nature».
