The Muslim population living in the U.S is growing according to the recent estimates of Pew Research. Accordingly, in 2017 1.1% of the total American population is Muslim, a number that is expected to reach 2.1% in 2050. 3.45 million Muslims were living in the U.S. in 2017, according to the resent estimates of Pew Research, a nonpartisan American think tank headquartered in Washington. D.C. and which provides information on social issues, public opinion and demographic trends. The institution states through an article released on Wednesday, 3rd of January, and published on its official website that American Muslims account for almost 1.1 % of the U.S. total population.
